Director of Engineering

Our client is an international Medical Device organisation who are a household name across various specialty and product areas including cancer diagnostics.

Position Overview:

This position has been newly created due to an increase in the Engineering division headcount. 

Responsibilities:

• Set, manage goals, targets and performance
• Manage the preparation of consolidated budgets, reports and forecasts
• Management and governance of R&D engineering and production engineering deliverables across the Staining Systems business
• Oversee the development and improvement to engineering methods and approaches to be adopted in the development and sustaining of hardware for LBS products.

Desired experience:

• Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in engineering (mechanical, mechatronics, electrical/electronic, production engineering)
• Minimum 15 years experience in engineering with minimum of 5+ years experience in project management/ management
• A thorough understanding of relevant engineering methodologies and their application of usefulness in different product development life cycles, including design transfers for new product/part introduction and sustaining transfers for obsolescence and value analysis / value engineering projects
