Job Description
Our client is a Medical Device start-up, developing a new device to treat hearing loss and deafness. Our client aims to use mechanical signal processing to enable those with severe-to-profound hearing loss to access a world of sound.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this position will focus on the design and development responsibility of test rigs and device electronics with a particular focus on wireless systems.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this position will focus on the design and development responsibility of test rigs and device electronics with a particular focus on wireless systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of product prototypes. Working with internal/external consultants to deliver on key product specifications (electronics architecture, power management, wireless communication etc.)
- Design and development of protype rigs (PCBA, antenna and communication protocol design, test, and debug).
- Product testing (bench testing, simulation, and modelling)
- Risk management and mitigation
- Creation of design and development documentation (device descriptions, schematics, layouts, test reports etc.)
- Assist in establishing design requirements, test protocols, and verification reports.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience (Medical Devices)
- Previous experience in the design and development of wireless systems or implantable devices is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
