The Company

A global medical technology company specialising in diabetes is looking for a Clinical Educator to join their Australia team.

The business is focused on improving the way people living with diabetes manage their condition through innovative insulin delivery technology. This role will work closely with the Territory Management team, supporting patients and healthcare professionals across North and Western Sydney.

The Role

Territory : North & Western Sydney

This is a clinical education-focused role based in Sydney, covering North and Western Sydney and working across hospitals, diabetes centres and other healthcare settings throughout the territory.

You’ll work with patients from the start of their journey, providing ongoing clinical education and nurture through regular check-ins at different stages. You’ll educate patients, families, care teams and healthcare professionals. You will work closely alongside an experienced Territory Management team on education initiatives and focus on building strong relationships with endocrinologists, dieticians, nurse educators and other healthcare professionals across the diabetes community.

Key responsibilities include:

· Support patients through pump starts and onboarding
· Educate patients, their families and care teams and diabetes educators on the use of the technology
· Provide ongoing clinical support throughout the patient journey
· Deliver education sessions and in-services for healthcare professionals
· Run lunch & learn sessions and other education activities
· Work closely with the NSW Territory Managers to support customers and patient outcomes
· Build strong relationships with dieticians, endocrinologists, nurse educators and other healthcare professionals
· Conduct follow-up and nurture calls with patients as required
· Maintain accurate patient and activity records

About you

This role would suit a Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Registered Nurse or dietician with a strong clinical background and a genuine interest in diabetes.

  • Clinical healthcare background, ideally with experience in diabetes and/or diabetes technology
  • Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) qualification highly regarded
  • Confidence providing education, training and support to patients, families and
  • healthcare professionals
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with a range of clinical stakeholders
  • An adaptable approach and willingness to learn new technology, products and clinical concepts
  • Confidence working independently across a large geographical territory
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage CRM, reporting and administrative requirements
  • The ability to work collaboratively alongside a sales team, while maintaining a strong focus on the clinical and educational aspects of the role
  • Confidence communicating with and appropriately challenging stakeholders when required
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • A full Australian driver’s licence and access to a car
