The Company
Our client is a well-known Medical Device company specialising in the life-changing specialty area of CMF. With standard instrument and implant kits as well as a comprehensive Patient-Specific offering, they are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Sydney.

The Role
A full-time, permanent position, you’ll be working on projects from Preparation to Planning and Design. With in-house Manufacturing, you’ll be working closely with Production & Quality teams in addition to ongoing  contact with Clinical stakeholders, the Sales / Clinical team, Customer Service and International Stakeholders.
This position not only sees you working to design life-changing products but also sees you working collaboratively with an engaged, dedicated team; it sees you sharing knowledge and supporting clinical cases in the operating theatre and sees you travelling to attend conferences, training events and symposia.
Day to day the role includes:
  • Case Management – coordinating with multiple internal departments and the clinical customers
  • Clinical Planning and Simulations
  • Design of Patient-specific products for surgical use
  • Creation of surgical reports
  • Some clinical attendance and case support
  • Attendance at conferences and training events
About You
  • You have Engineering Qualifications (Biomedical, Chemical, Mechanical or Bioengineering) preferably with membership to Engineers Australia
  • You have Planning and Design experience through internships or work experience with a thorough understanding of patient-specific implant design (preferably in the CMF space)
  • You have great communication skills and can explain complex concepts and influence others
  • You have considerable experience with Design software and Microsoft applications and have Programming experience
  • You love getting out from behind the desk and want to see your products in action and talk to the clinical decision-makers
  • You enjoy travel and are available to participate in 13-weeks of international training at the commencement of your employment.
