The Role
Reporting to the Head of R&D this role will see you create a suite of surgical Instruments and implants for use in Spinal surgery.
You will be responsible for concept creation, design, modelling and testing, and will collaborate with RAQA, Marketing, Sales and Operations as well as external stakeholders such as Clinicians and Manufacturing contacts.

- Design Architecture and Concept Development
- CAD Design
- Mechanical Testing (Strategy and Management)
- FEA and Computational Design Validation
- Risk and Issue Management
- Design Transfer and Manufacturing readiness

About You
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Biomechanical or related) is essential; Honours desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development (Medical Device experience preferred)
- Expert-level SolidWorks or equivalent CAD proficiency, including full PDM/PLM management
- Demonstrated experience developing complete GD&T drawing packages (experience with Class II/III medical devices preferred)
- Proven track record managing mechanical V&V test programs against ASTM/ISO standards
