Lead a High-Performing Team for a Global Orthopaedic LeaderAn exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced sales leader to join one of the world's most respected orthopaedic medical device organisations.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will lead a team of Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists across a high-performing Joint Reconstruction business, driving commercial growth while developing the next generation of sales talent.
This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic leadership, surgeon engagement, account planning, and people development within a business renowned for innovation, clinical excellence, and market-leading technologies.
About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering regional sales performance, coaching and developing your team, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic growth initiatives across your territory.
Working closely with Marketing, Professional Education, Clinical Affairs, and Commercial teams, you will play a key role in expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the continued success of a leading orthopaedic portfolio.
This is an ideal opportunity for an established Regional Sales Manager or a high-performing Senior Territory Manager ready to take the next step into leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists
- Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, growth, and collaboration
- Conduct regular field coaching, mentoring, and performance development activities
- Identify and develop future talent within the business
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning initiatives
Commercial & Strategic Leadership
- Deliver and exceed regional sales, market share, and profitability objectives
- Translate national business strategies into actionable regional plans
- Drive execution of key account strategies across major hospital networks
- Allocate resources effectively to maximise commercial opportunities
- Analyse sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop strong relationships with surgeons, hospital executives, procurement teams, and key opinion leaders
- Support strategic customer engagements and major account negotiations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Drive long-term partnerships that support sustainable business growth
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Professional Education, Clinical Affairs, and Commercial Excellence teams
- Support product launches, market development initiatives, and educational programs
- Share best practices and contribute to national business planning initiatives
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Significant experience within medical device, healthcare, or surgical sales environments
- Previous sales leadership experience or a proven track record as a high-performing senior sales professional
- Strong understanding of orthopaedics, surgical devices, or complex healthcare sales
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
- Experience working with surgeons, hospital executives, and procurement stakeholders
- A passion for leadership, customer engagement, and driving business growth
