The company in question is one of Australia’s largest primary healthcare providers, operating a national network of GP clinics, dental, allied health, and Urgent Care Centres . With a strong focus on accessibility, quality care, and clinician support. The organisation plays a critical role in relieving pressure on hospital emergency departments.
The organisation is continuing to expand its urgent care footprint and is investing in commercial roles that ensure high-quality, sustainable workforce delivery across its ANZ network.
The RoleAs Relationship & Commercial Manager , you will be responsible for ensuring Urgent Care Clinics are consistently and safely staffed by owning the end-to-end doctor workforce lifecycle . This is a commercially oriented relationship management role, focused on engaging existing doctors, increasing shift uptake, and improving long-term retention within urgent care.
You’ll work closely with doctors, operational leaders, and clinical stakeholders to balance workforce supply with service demand, supported by a small coordination team.
Key responsibilities include:-
Building strong, trusted relationships with urgent care doctors to drive engagement and retention

Increasing shift fill rates by influencing doctors to take on additional urgent care work

Understanding individual doctor motivators (e.g. work-life balance, predictability, earnings) and tailoring engagement accordingly

Overseeing doctor rostering, workforce planning, and coverage across assigned centres

Leading and supporting Urgent Care Clinical Coordinators who manage day-to-day scheduling

Using workforce data to forecast demand and plan for peak periods and contingencies

Acting as the key link between doctors, operations, and clinical leadership to resolve issues quickly

Strong background in relationship management, commercial engagement, or consultative sales

Experience working with clinicians, surgeons, specialists, or senior healthcare stakeholders

Comfortable balancing commercial outcomes with operational delivery

Proven ability to influence behaviour and drive uptake without formal authority

Healthcare experience ( medical devices , hospital BD highly regarded)
-
