The Company

This global Medical Device company is one or the largest in the world and has a strong reputation for innovation and clinical excellence. Their products span across the full hospital world including: Surgical technologies, Spine, Cardiovascular, Orthopaedics, robotics etc. They continue to expand their presence across new therapy areas and novel technologies and their overriding focus is on patient needs and improved quality of life.

The Role

As  Senior Business Development Manager- ANZ , you will be responsible for driving revenue through capital equipment and software sales across the ANZ region. You will be responsible for launching this new technology into the local market and you will be driving the revenue of this particular offering. You will work very closely with two of their key business units and will drive the strategy for their existing sales team as well as partnering with corporate accounts and marketing teams across the business.

The position can be based in   either:  Sydney, Melbourne  or  Brisbane. Responsibilities will include:

  • Driving commercial success for the  Digital Solutions  business within the broader  Surgical Technologies  Unit across ANZ.
  • Developing strategies to exceed sales targets by identifying and engaging key decision-makers — from surgeons and nurses to  hospital executivesIT teams , and  cybersecurity  stakeholders.
  • Delivering compelling presentations at meetings and industry events to showcase the value of the surgical platform
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams in sales, marketing, education, tech support, enterprise accounts, IT, and legal to manage the full sales cycle through to closure.
  • Leading contract negotiations to ensure compliance with commercial standards and company policies.
  • Providing exceptional post-sale support, nurturing relationships to boost product adoption and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Staying informed on market shifts and competitive developments to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Working closely with global counterparts across mainly Europe/ U.S
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a healthcare-related field
  • 8+ years in sales or marketing within  healthcare technologymedical devices, capital equipment, or digital health
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital operations, procurement processes, and IT systems
  • Strong grasp of  digital health , data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Proven ability to navigate complex, extended sales cycles involving budgets and hospital executive approvals
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and managing multifaceted projects
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively (25-50%) across Australia and New Zealand
