The role of National Sales Manager, Interventional, is to effectively manage the ANZ sales team responsible for the assigned business unit to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. You will provide leadership to the sales team to maximise customer engagement and involvement along with sales skill and sales-related business coaching in conjunction with sales strategy and tactical support.
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  
Sales Management

Coaching
  • Coaching with your direct reports.
  • Goal Setting - SMART Goal
Pipeline Management/Accountability
  • Weekly 1 on 1s with Direct Reports (9 in Total)
  • Weekly 1 on 1 with Sales Director
  • Achieve annual Sales & GP Targets
  
Administration
  • Direct reports Learning and development plans
  • Phone calls inbound/outbound
  • Mid-year and end of year - Staff checkpoints
  • Manage Leave and Travel requests
  • Facilitating Product Training
  • Facilitating business partner workshops/days in-field
  • Recruitment
  • Staff onboarding
  • Review and oversee Complaints, Recalls and Returns
  • Attend QA RA meetings
  
Sales Strategy and Implementation
  
  • Pricing/Trial and Loan Equipment - Approvals/Agreements
  • Competitor landscape and marketing
  • Product Assessment - New Markets
  • Attend regular 1 on 1 with Marketing Manager
  • Update One Page Sales Plan/Review with team at the end of each quarter
  • CRM/Pipeline review for forecasting and checking compliance from the team
  • Sales and Inventory forecasting with purchasing/customer service
  • Sales Meetings/Team get togethers
  • Planning conferences that we attend for lead generation
  • Pricing/Tenders/Contracts
  
Direct Customer Support - KOL/KAM   
  • Meeting/Developing relationships with KOL's
  • Presentations to key accounts
  • Business Partner engagement
  • Coordinating Workshops - Organising Agreements and arrangements
  
Reporting   
  • Emails & Actions from phone calls and 1 on 1s
  • Expenses (including team approval)
  • Monthly reporting - Results / KPI's
  • ROI on conference spend/demo equipment/workshops
  
Role Objectives
  
  1. Ensure that regional sales goals and targets are achieved through the relevant sales teams.
  2. Develop a high performing sales team through effective coaching and motivation strategies
  3. Apply effective forecasting and inventory management strategies to support business Goals
  4. Manage operating costs within budget control operating costs
  5. Develop a suitable succession plan
  
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience, preferably within the medical/surgical industry
  • Experience in successful field sales and staff management
  • Commitment to ongoing training in business development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated competence in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to liaise and communicate with other senior professionals within the business
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in designing and implementing Sales Force Effectiveness programs
  • Experience in Healthcare Industry in relevant field
  • Experience in mentoring sales staff
  
Requirements
  • Based in Sydney or Melbourne
  • Current unencumbered full driver’s license
  • Police Check and working with children check
  • Compliance with MTAA Code of Practice and Australian Vendor Credentialing Standards working with Health Facilities
  • This role requires occasional weekend and evening work e.g. attendance at conferences
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
